THE COMICS CREATORS’ GUILD NEEDS A CHAIRMAN

And YOU decide!

 

Following the hung vote at last month’s AGM, the CCG finds itself without a chairman! The election of the Comics Creators’ Guild chairman now falls upon you, the general membership. It’s up to you to choose the chairman that will lead the Guild into the next year and beyond.

Two candidates have presented themselves at the AGM: Siobhan Hillman and John Anderson.

If anyone else wishes to stand for election as chairman, please email the CCG by the end of May:

All candidates will present a manifesto detailing their vision of the CCG going forward that will be published on the website on June the 1st. I will also prepare a list of questions for all candidates to answer. I expect to base these on suggestions from the membership, so let me know as soon as possible what you consider are the issues that the candidates need to answer.

The actual election will take place in the month of June, with the final deadline for receipt of both postal and email votes being 11:59 Monday June the 23rd, with final announcement of the chairman taking place at the June monthly meeting on Thursday June the 26th.

All votes are final once cast, all votes will be kept secret. Proxy voting is not permitted.

This is going to be an exercise in direct democracy for the CCG and opportunity to have a debate on what we are, where we are headed, what we are doing right, what we are doing wrong and what we can do better. We ask all CCG members to have their say, put forward their suggestions and ideas and participate in this process.
